Meditation on Elimination

Before I had a chance to hold my daughter in my arms, I wondered what it would be like to change her diapers. Would it be nauseating? a tiresome chore? an impossibly complex manuver?

Never did I suspect that parents read the content of diapers like some read tea leaves. With a single word vocabulary (Wwaaahh!) she communicates her health by taking fluids in and moving them out. We have become detectives of the derriere. Strange but true.

I promise all of you -- NO pictures on this topic.

PS -- I'm figuring out what all those wipes are for..........

Celia arrives

Celia Thena Kukuk entered the world Monday at 4:10pm. Due to the normal blessed chaos that follows a birth, this is the first moment I've had time, the camera, the computer, and the correct cables to broadcast our joy to the world. It was an arduous, natural, unmedicated labor as  Christina gave birth to a 7 pound, 15 ounce, 21 inch long baby girl.

And now, the moment we've all been waiting for........

this face changes everything

...just  the three of us

who has more hair?

4D Baby... womb with a view

The Golden Wall shines forth...

Welcome to the Kukuk family blog. The one you're all here for is still in utero - a very nice place to be. We hope she stays there until mom is released from bedrest prison. A few last 'couple' days would be much  appreciated, but we will roll with whatever comes. Check out the 4D ultrasound photo for a sneak peak...
